One Month Old!

Dear Kenley,

Today you are one month old. I cannot even remember what it was like before you came along. You are such a little doll and I just can't get enough of you!

It's been so fun getting to know your little personality this last month. You are constantly making your Papa and me laugh with your little noises. Sometimes you're a bird, sometimes a dinosaur! You are a very dramatic baby!

In this first month, you've gone to the doctor twice. One time you had to have your heel pricked and your Momma cried! You already have me wrapped around your adorable little baby finger! You were almost back up to your birth weight at two weeks old. You are a good eater!

My favorite thing to watch is you and your Papa together. I can tell you adore him and I know he adores you more than anything. It's so sweet to watch him hold you while he's playing on the computer. It's like your special Daddy/Daughter time. And, just so you know, you have the world's best Papa. Don't forget that.

This morning I put you in bed with us. I haven't done that since you were about a week old. I just wanted to watch you sleep. You are so adorable when you sleep with your hand under your face. It makes your face all scrunched up and it's just precious.

This month has been amazing Kenley. I can't wait to see your little personality blossom in the coming months.

I know, it seems that's all I blog about lately...I just can't help it!

Kenley had her 2 week check up last Thursday. She was within and ounce and a half of her birth weight. She probably would have been at birth weight if she hadn't puked in the waiting room! Woops! I think we rocked her too much in her car seat. She's now 21 and 3/4 inches long. She's going to be tall like her Papa! She amazes us everyday and we just adore her!

And Baby Makes 3!

Baby Kenley has arrived! She was born on Friday April 17, 2009 at 4:27pm. Her full name is Kenley Rae (after my grandfather) Signe (after my mother in law) Brunner. She weighed 10 pounds 1 ounce and was 21 1/4 inches long. She's a very tall thin baby! I ended up having a C Section (I was planning an all natural water birth! That's why I never wrote an official birth plan. I figured Kenley would do what she had to do) after only a few hours of labor. She's worth all the extra that comes with a C Section! I'd do it again a thousand times for her.

Kenley, Phil and I are all doing well. We're adjusting to her sleep schedule, but she really sleeps a lot, day and night, so we're lucky.

Bad Baby!!!!

So, I'm about a week overdue now....exciting. It's been a hard week (for other reasons), but we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little girl. She's made it clear she'll come when she's ready, so now we wait....

Waiting....

I'm still pregnant...I'm technically due on Wednesday, but I really felt like I was going to go early....no such luck. Saw the midwife this morning, and as much as I tried, they wouldn't give me any indication of how long they thought it may be. Sigh. The waiting game will continue.
